Missing You…

The world is passing by in a tizzy

Speed and attention everywhere

Solace nowhere to find

Treasure boxes rare to come across,

Here I stand staring at the sky

Looking for an image of you

Your smiling face,

I join the stars

Though they are blinking far away

To form your face;

Which always had been beautiful

Those sparkling eyes

The rosy lips

Which I saw very late

But that soft and lovely heart

For which I fell

To have that innocent child

That in you, you have always nurtured

That purity angels have.

Sights and sounds...

Started my travels on the 21st of June and yesterday went to Kasauli...a change of weathers behaviors and food. The people here seem to be friendly and yesterday from the bus back saw people pulling others leg up in the bus and it was funny...one moment they just swear and the other they are inseparable. Visited the Yadavendra Gardens, a Mughal era garden an made in levels of various terraces really beautiful...more later...

Times you were born…

Down the lane of history,

A time when our parents lived

Started a chain of happenings

Which marked the title

Of a fairy tale

As the days went by

And the moments changed to months

The day came close

They were waiting for so long

And you were born o dear

Just like a twinkling star

The cries and moans of yours

Rang out near and far

This day we cherish

Year after year

And I take this chance always

To wish you dear

Many happy returns of the day

A poem dedicated for all the birthdays of all I know and don't

DARK SMILE

Dark was the night,

Fire everywhere…

The moon staring down lonely

Without a star in company,

Mortals everywhere

Drenched in sound,

Madness flowing

While time unwound.

The call in the heart

Was too clear,

Your presence missing

Happiness, me wishing

For you smiling…

Feelings in the morning

The morning came

A sparkling bright,

As the sun rose

Awoke my mind,

I felt scared

A horror struck me

You were not there.

For the bed was empty,

On the side where you slept

The pillow was intact;

The covers done

As they were ages before.

Why you went away?

I could never fathom.

Taken away in a fashion

Like a melody from a song,

I know you are out there

Only you I need to find

So I go out in your search

Once more again and again.

APATHIES…

Cellular revolution is still a growing storm in the Indian airwaves. With every new day comes a new scheme or a new service provider or a new cellular device etc. It is really good to see that the nation is progressing with easy access to information for the masses. However citizens from the Northeast and Jammu& Kashmir have their own woes for this service. The subscription for a prepaid cellular connection is considered to be one of the most easiest way to be on the grid, but for these two regions its grueling; you are requested to submit proof of address, identity etc. you are checked with the local authorities, verified by a reference and so on. To add salt to the injury, your number wont be allowed to function out of your state and any connection subscribed to out of the state wont work here too! The Government says that the measures are in place to curb terrorism so that terrorists wont have easy connections to their access. But just for the sake of asking I would like to put the question, What happens in the Naxal infested states. Open any newspaper today and killings or acts of terrorism are from the Naxal infested States. Is anyone listening????

BURNT

Beside the fire

Was where I sat,

Staring into the oblivion

Thinking a way to our union.

The wind was cold

But the night warm.

Screams were what was all around

Screams of joy were they.

A few survivors

In the lively world,

Burnt in fire;

Was what it was.

Outside

was lazing when the thought of the word 'outside' came into my mind...what as it...just moving away from a shelter? maybe yes...but no wont be wrong too i suppose. we say eating out...but when we cook under th open sky it becomes a picnic!! While you go inside the restaurant and tell others, " I ate out"!!! We go out to see a movie but the movie is shown in a roofed shelter. It really funny as how a word can be used but mean far from its meaning. similarly we may say that in this world of limitless possibilities 'DO' is the word and not...

didn't get the word, any suggestions??

what can be said about them...adoring, charming, graceful the list will possibly be endless take any adjective and see how perfectly it fits in. Well if you are reading this you may think why this topic today...well it hard to say but maybe in admiration and respect for all the ladies who have a chunk of my life starting from my mom to almost everyone down the line. Another reason, to be more specific was the female infanticide in our country. It makes me feel confused that the same people who are now shouting to carry forward their family with sons do when their sons would have no more girls to woo lest marry!!! Lets just end this today with it...with more feelings later...love...
