AN ODE TO MOMO...

Born in the orient
Thy arrived at our lands
Exclusive, hard to have
Thy art all who performed
Praise them the alchemists.

Savior of the cold
Friend of the joyous
Companion for all who cried
They ain’t say in vain
The times they are a changing

From the royal heights you descended
Came down to the masses
Who worshipped you,
But when the heights came down
The widths expanded
Wont you say to you
Love is better when more

Your genesis we know not
Neither do we ask for it
As your divine presence
Fills our heart with ecstasy

Metamorphosis you underwent
By the hands of sorcerers
Some just heavenly, some hell down under
The fault is not yours as we travellers yearn
To find a sorcerer
An apprentice to the alchemist
To have a newer you
Or an older one we never knew

Thy small white dumplings
We yearn for every moment
Stuffed with multitude choices
Your treat of soup
Thy divine aura mesmerizes
As I bow down to you
Thy greatness, o Momo…
