Cellular revolution is still a growing storm in the Indian airwaves. With every new day comes a new scheme or a new service provider or a new cellular device etc. It is really good to see that the nation is progressing with easy access to information for the masses. However citizens from the Northeast and Jammu& Kashmir have their own woes for this service. The subscription for a prepaid cellular connection is considered to be one of the most easiest way to be on the grid, but for these two regions its grueling; you are requested to submit proof of address, identity etc. you are checked with the local authorities, verified by a reference and so on. To add salt to the injury, your number wont be allowed to function out of your state and any connection subscribed to out of the state wont work here too! The Government says that the measures are in place to curb terrorism so that terrorists wont have easy connections to their access. But just for the sake of asking I would like to put the question, What happens in the Naxal infested states. Open any newspaper today and killings or acts of terrorism are from the Naxal infested States. Is anyone listening????
U r absolutely right...I agree with you...i think its just one of the tactics of govt. to convince people that they r taking some steps to fight terrorism..all rubbish...naxals are gaining power day by day and are spreading over very fast...Govt need to take some steps urgently before more people are killed...coz this time they wont have 'pakistan' to put their blame into!!
